Missouri Substance

Use Prevention

Missouri is passionate about preventing youth substance use and has developed a collaborative network of prevention coalitions, agencies and individuals to address the data-driven needs that arise in communities.

Through funding provided by the Missouri Department of Mental Health’s Division of Behavioral Health, ten Prevention Resource Centers (PRCs) cover the entire state, providing technical assistance and support to community coalitions in their service areas.

Community coalitions register with the Division of Behavioral Health which connects them to the support of the Prevention Resource Centers as well as the opportunity to apply for funding. The Missouri Prevention Resource Center Network brings together all ten PRCs to collaborate on statewide prevention efforts.
